The one & only Singapore!!

Today is sunny Singapore's 48th birthday!
I woke up to a spammed twitter filled with 'Happy birthday Singapore!' 'Singapore is finally 48!' I always look forward to the national day parade broadcast on the tv at night.

So before I get on to the ndp parade that's on the TV RIGHT NOW, I shall blog about my day haha.
I went to the old folk's home to visit my grandparents. they are there not because my dad and his siblings disowned them. it's because they are too hard to handle due to the constant need for hospital visits and more. My dad loves them.

So anywayyyy. My grandmother looks so different. But she looks fine. :) My dad bragged about me & daphne's grades in school to her and she smiled a shaky smile. my heart melted as I've not seen her smile for such a long time. I used to go to her house every week. Now I dont... :(

After that, we left my grandmother to rest and went to the next room to visit my grandfather. He looks awesome! He was there being the bookworm he always was, reading newspapers haha. He's damn healthy. Seeing that my grandparents were fine, we left the old folks home.

I guess that was the highlight of the day.
Ok now on to our country's birthday ^-^

This year's NDP is so colourful. The highlights were definitely the ADORABLE merlion and the appearance of ABTM. But the national day song this year was urmmm alright? I dont really know why it's getting so much hate. I dont hate it I guess, I just dont think it represents Singapore at all. It has absolutely no meaning. But who am I to judge right? I guess it really doesnt matter what the national day song is, we still have our national anthem right! :D

I guess that's it!

omg heyyyyy.
I'm trying my best to revive my blog hehe.
The last time I blogged was 10/11/12 last year! So much has happened since then. This might be a rather long post haha. #leggo.

Now that 2012 is over, I'll just move on to 2013!

2013 started off great! I got posted into 3Everest. It was a class where everyone took the same subject combination ( English , Mother Tongue , Amaths , Emaths , Combine Science Physics + Chem , Combine Humanities Geog Elective + SS ) the only difference was that half of the class took D&T and the other half took F&N. Other than that, we bonded together really well!

I was on cloud 9 as I entered 3Everest with friends like vivian, dion, xueying, sijia, nicole & chee yin. yknow. the usuals from 2Everest'12. I planned to stick with them throughout the two years in Everest. Plans fail as we got into a fight and I was kicked out of the group.

I was assigned a seat next to ChunMun. I wanted to not talk to him for the entire time we were table partners but that failed haha. Knowing how noisy I am, we talked and became best friends. Class is never boring with that idiot sitting next to me. ^-^ Through the months, I slowly became distant from the girl population in class and became closer to the guys in class! I have no regrets at all! Honestly, befriending a guy is so much easier than befriending a girl, considering how im not a kpop fan. :p

The 2.4km run for NAPHA this year was held at Anchorvale CC just like how we did last year. I passed with flying colours :) As I ran the last stretch towards the finish line, i heard the boys in my class shouting my name and cheering for me! Touched hehe :) Blessed to have such amazing friends. After the run, Amanda, my sister and I went to get mcflurry cause we deserved it!!!! ^^

Edgefield's guzheng ensemble also entered SYF'13! We practiced so hard and we achieved COA , Certificate of Accomplishment! :D PROUD OF ALL OF US!

I passed my MYE with flying colours. Topping Geog, SS & Chem papers. Improving by more than 4grades for Amaths, Physics and Emaths, I got 9/39 in class! :D YAY! :D

Recently we celebrated National day by having a sports day at hougang stadium! omg what recently, I MEANT YESTERDAY. all of us wore our level tees to the event! Dressed in red, I joined the year3s and sat next to amanda throughout the whole thing. I went for the bungee run event with cheeyin but it started pouring and the whole thing got cancelled before we could play anything :( so the rest of the day was just the boring wet weather program of eating and singing songs. lol. Plus there was a water war at the sec3 section as the boys at the back seats started spraying water at each other.

After that, I went home with Hongshen & Justin. We got bubbletea from punggol plaza before going our separate ways home. well, actually only I got bubbletea haha they just accompanied me :D
