Finally, Senior year. ▲

Hello!

Long time no talk! I didn't have the chance to update my blog at all. I still don't but here's just a little blog post to compensate for all the time that i've lost. Hope it makes up for it! :)

I'm finally Secondary4. Time sure flies, don't you agree? I'm still in the same class as I was in last year, 4Everest. Best class ever, I would say. haha. Let's sidetrack abit to 2013.

So I ended off my Secondary3 year with a challenging and amazing experience at OBS & a wonderful and unforgettable 9 days in Korea with a few close friends and some teachers from the craft&tech department of our school!

OBS was a weeklong camp that was both mentally and physically demanding. I was assigned to a watch comprising of people from two different class, we were known as Magellan. At first, we stayed separated in our classes, 3ev & 3Eu. We slowly began to become closer and closer as a watch as we started sleeping, working & eating together. The high elements was one that was definitely a new experience for me! I as teamed with Rue Hong and we were tasked to conquer a high element that would require teamwork to get to the top of the element. Our plan was to let me step on his thigh and progress up and for me to pull him up to be on par with me after that. It worked out well until we reached the 5th bar and I looked down and my fear of heights got the better of me. I told him I couldnt go on and we stopped. I felt rather accomplished though hehe. The land expedition was a 7hour trekking and hiking experience that I could not forget. We spent a few hours the night before packing our OBS bagpacks, each weighing about 15kg, to get ready for a change of campsite. Then we trekked for the longest time while lugging the huge load on our shoulders. Definitely worth the work! We also went on a sea expedition and I was teamed with Kheng Wuo for the 7hour kayaking task. We did amazingly well tbh. I had to kayak him for awhile because he was seasick but I did cause I'm just such a good friend. The long hours stuck in the same kayak forged friendship between the two of us, and he was the only friend that I made and stayed friends in and after OBS. On the last day of the camp, we got our OBS certificate and a very very bad tan. No regrets!

Right after I got back from OBS, I had to pack my luggage for my 9day stay in korea 2 days later. I packed my luggage and slept for 14hours before anticipating the amazing experience in korea I was going to embark on. We arrived at Changi Airport and took attendance before we took a plane towards Seoul, Korea. The plane ride took about 7hours. We went to many different places but the most exciting time would be in the night, in the hotel. shhhh. Sherman, Chun Mun, WeiJian, Ryan and I would sneak out and gather in one of our rooms and spend the night playing games and chatting. Another part would be the times we spend in the bus as I sat in front of Chun Mun, Ryan and Sherman. Our chats seemed neverending but we never got bored of each other's company. We managed to escape our act for the whole of the trip. If i had a choice, I wouldn't mind going back to Korea with the same group of friends and teachers. ;)

Reality sank in as my green and bulky report book was handed to me a day after I returned from Korea. I stared blankly at the report card and realised that I had no red marks at all. It was a good sign though.
For the first time, I HAD PASS ALL MY SUBJECTS WITH FLYING COLOURS. I got a few As and Bs and 1C but nothing less than that! I was pretty proud of myself. I got 7/38 in class and 54th in the entire cohort. It was indeed an achievement. More motivation to study harder for my upcoming Olevels!

Back to 2014, 4Everest started the year with a class bonding party on CNY! We bought ingredients and cooked up a storm in the Edgefield Kitchen. We layed out all the food on the tables in the canteen, including 4 boxes of yusheng. We spent the next few hours celebrating and eating and chatting. it sure brought the entire class together closer.

I guess that's it? haha. Might update more when I'm free, if not, after my Olevels haha so sorry. :p

WISH ME GOOD LUCK FOR MY PRELIMS & OLEVELS THANKS
