Hello!
I'm done with the first term of my first year in poly!
Didn't have time to update this space of mine because of how busy I was with school etc and that whole stereotype saying of 'Poly is so slack', 'Poly dont have to study!' etc are all bullshit when you actually start school! The only saying that is actually true would probably be like 'Poly is really fun and you'll meet lots of really good friends!' and that's actually really true!
Well, after FOP (where i left off from my last blog post), things were still pretty chill. We had our first week of class and the attendance code was annoying, even from the first week. I was introduced to Econs, Accountancy, Managerial Organizational Behaviour (MOB) and IT for business (ITB). The amount of homework slowly piled up at a reasonable pace for the first week and I could still follow pretty well. And our class was just starting to get to know each other for the first week and its really nice to finally get so close to my classmates through the first term. Now we all cool ;)
So as the weeks progressed, we had many class outings. Not those secondary school outings where the teacher gives out consent forms etc, no. Ours are completely impromptu and I can safely say that 02 is the only reason I even bother to drag myself out of bed at 4am in the morning to travel 2hours to school daily.

Slowly, Sports for Life (SFL) was introduced to us and I got into badminton which led to another batch of experiences and my class started oovoo-ing with each other almost every other night.

Projects started piling up as I joined TKDC in SP to continue my TKD journey from edgefield haha. I started going home later and later everyday and I had more dinners with my friends than with my own family (im so sorry) but yea. School days hit 6pm, 7pm or even 10:30pm and I end up reaching home after my family's off to bed. It started taking a toll on me yet I pushed on until I tore a calf muscle which bought me a few days MC to get away from the stress and tiring travel time to and from school etc.
So our MST, also known as Mid-Semester Test, just ended not long ago and I havent taken an exam in 6months before that! It felt really weird because through my 4 years in sec school, I took every paper in the hall so the thought of taking it in a classroom irks me HAHA but we pulled through! And can I just say how thankful I am to have a class of studious friends because they inspire and motivate me to study harder for my papers! I'm so glad MST is over so no more late nights and hello holidays!
Saying so much about 02, I didn't forget my 01 kids because my first poly friends in dbid are all in 01 and I have to hang out with them right! Not really close to the 01 kids but im especially close to Carina, Nicholas, Lin, MingJie & JunHong (and many more actually!) and they've definitely contributed in making my stay in Poly much more bearable!

Through these past 2 months, I've made so many friends and had so much experiences to share about poly life and thank god for DBID for making me not regret going to a poly even though my parents, teachers tell me otherwise about my choice to go to a poly. Ya'll give me the strength to wake up everyday to go to school and take the last train home everyday with another great day to tell my family about. Not just 02, not just DBID year1s but the year 2s as well (especially tess ;)) and thank you to Hono for friendships so strong that being in different schools cant break our ties! Thank god for everything that has happened to me for the past 2 months and i cant wait to spend the next years with ya'll! I can honestly said, I've never been happier all my life. Thank you SP. :)
To more fun times together!
