OLEVELS ARE OVER. ▲

Hi!
OLEVELS ARE unofficially OVER.
THANK GOD HAHA

Olevels was over really quickly and Im so glad that I have no regrets on what I did throughout the duration and I have to constantly assure myself that I studied to the best of my ability already. Hopefully my grades reflect my hardwork and I get into the course & school I desire next year!

So I actually accumulated my views on each paper below throughout the olevels.
The feeling of completing olevels is so satisfying and unlike the completion of any other exams.
It feels so surreal that i've just taken my olevels. Glad its over.

Science practical was actually quite manageable. It was quite a relief to see that the physics practical wasnt a complicated circuit test, instead, we got a simple pendulum test. The setup was easy but the recording was tedious, i much prefer the chemistry practical though! it was quite a surprise as i usually favour the physics practical over chemistry. But for olevels, the chemistry practical was straight to the point and simple to comprehend. All in all, I think I did rather alright for practical!

Emaths paper1 was really quite easy! I found the paper a breeze and I was actually quite elated that the paper wasnt that difficult! The only task was that the paper was full of twist and turns and was in a weird format that I've never encountered before which really stunned me. I remember smiling to myself when i finally flipped back to the cover page 1 minute before the time was up. I checked my answers on twitter (idk how the answers got on there but wow) i realised that i scored pretty well for the first paper when i was strucked by the realisation that the bellcurve was going to be like asdfghjkl and furthermore, all signs pointed at a difficult paper2.
Emaths paper2 was not as hard as i thought it would be, it was manageable to say the least. Most of what I practiced came out. Apart from careless mistakes here and there and two questions that I didnt know how to do, I did pretty well for that paper. I'm just praying I got at least a B for maths.

English papers were a huge mess. Paper1 was what i excelled in yet the one question that i was banking on to come out for the situational writing didn't. for once in my life, i did not have the luxury of choosing to write an argumentative essay. lucky for me, i had a backup plan and that was to write either a discursive essay or a descriptive essay which were those that mdm tan had confidence in for me. I wrote a discursive piece in the end and i hope i didnt go out of point haha. the letter was hard too as I couldnt decipher which format it was suppose to be written in. Paper2 was probably the hardest paper2 i've ever sat for. I was confused throughout the paper and I couldnt comprehend amost 90% of the passages. Paper 3, listening comprehension, was boring as usual. to add on, it was held in the classrooms where i most dread taking exams in as I just have the urge to fall asleep. We were forced to listen to 30mins of classical music before the actual listening comprehension started urgh. It wasnt that bad tbh.

Amaths paper1 was HAHAHAHA, a joke. I had fever the day before which carried on till the morning of my amaths paper. Even then, I didn't have the motivation for amaths and i had already given up on amaths a long time ago. I sat there for the first hour daydreaming and trying to maintain my horrible headache. When i realised I had only an hour left, I decided to start off with the two graph questions and then i only had enough time to complete another two questions. All in all, i did 4 questions but I dont feel any regret or remorse as amaths wont be a subject im looking at when i choose my school next year. Amaths paper2 was alright, i did 4 questions(?) haha screw amaths.

Chemistry paper was the easiest and i mean it when i say that it was the EASIEST chemistry paper ive ever taken in my life. The questions were easy, the answers were simple and the drawing questions were just a piece of cake! The bellcurves gonna be real scary though. but the thought of passing chemistry just makes me so proud of myself.

Geography paper was really easy tbh. The paper was really easy to understand and the questions were all similar to the notes. Hope I did well and that the bellcurve would be in my favour! Overall, Im contented with the outcome of the paper.

Physics paper was manageable, but hard. how do i put it.. it seemed manageable but the questions were really confusing and there were SO MANY CONVERSIONS like i cannot even comprehend. oh but there were no ray diagrams like thank the lord. It was the only thing I couldnt understand and was fixed on skipping the question in the paper yet it never came out!!! hope i did well for physics though!

Social Studies paper was really manageable! I felt really prepared other than the fact that I didn't sleep the night before HAHA for the first time, i could do all the SEQ questions that were set! I did the governance one though because i felt that not many would do that and it would mean that the bellcurve would be in my favour :) SBQ was confusing but I think it was alright.

D&T was confusing and it's probably the first time i took the paper without studying fully. The good thing is that everything that i didnt study, didnt come out. But the paper was so confusing and I literately let out a huge sigh upon reading the first question. urgh idk. But everyone said it was manageable while i, couldnt get over the fact that it was so different from our usual prelims papers. omg coursework help me please.

But all in all, I have ONE more paper left next monday (MCQ so meh) and IM FREEEE.
Olevels is over and Im so glad that Im done with olevels, done with secondary school and I have so many more things to look forward to from today onwards! Prom is in a few days and I cant wait to go out with no guilt!
